S'more App Review: Legit or Lousy Time Waster?

Smore App Review Worth It

S’more earns you cash rewards simply for having it installed on your phone, or so they claim – do they actually pay out and is it worth the bother using them?

To not bury the lead — S’more is legit, does pay-out currently, and is worth an install for most people, however it’s not really worth watching videos on, but rather just collecting the sign-up bonus and daily reward from the mobile-lock screen advertisements they display if you allow them.

You can expect to make around $3 a month passively just for the lockscreen rewards, which shouldn’t take more than a few minutes out of your day every month to swipe past them when unlocking your phone — if you make more than $20-30/hr then it’s probably not worth it, but if you’re a teen or make less then it’s probably worth it for you.

Is S'more Worth Your Time?

Normally we’re quite negative towards “free rewards” apps and websites, but S’more is actually pretty good and doesn’t seem to rip users off like most of them do. They don’t pay much, but they also don’t take much of your time — so long as you don’t watch the videos they offer (which is not worth it).

Ultimately it’s up to you — if you are an adult who’s making over $40,000 a year then it’s not really worth the bother for an extra $40 a year, but otherwise it’s up to you — it could be worth your time, at least if it doesn’t frustrate you being delayed half a second until you unlock your phone and swipe off the S’more adscreen.

How Do You Use S'more?

To use S’more simply download the app and sign up then approve the prompt asking for permission overlay so they can serve ads to your lock-screen — after this the basic functionality will be set in place with S’more and you’ll more or less passively get 10 points a day just for having the app installed.

You can also watch videos inside of S’more (ads) or download other apps/games for rewards, or complete “special offers” (surveys) to get more points — but ultimately we don’t believe it’s worth your time or effort to do them as they pay so little for the time they take.

Is S'more Safe To Use?

Some people are concerned if S’more is safe; I don’t really see what the concern is. We all see advertisements all the time — this is all S’more does — advertise to you using your home-screen.

Personally we’ve had no problems when testing S’more and don’t consider it unsafe to use, however keep in mind they will likely collect some data when you use the app and potentially sell it to 3rd parties — so if you’re concerned with location data don’t enable it in the app.

Does S'more Offer Sign-Up Promotions or Rewards?

Currently S’more offers a sign-up bonus when you sign-up with a referral code such as CN4FD6 — well you can also refer friends and receive 25 free points for everyone who signs up and uses the app for a certain period of time. But ultimately it’s the same promotion, just the other end of the offer.
